What is ArthaBase Intelligence?

It is a tool you can access to widen your observation horizon of the Bali residential real estate market. It is a place where you come to understand performance, property pricing, and trends. It is a place where you observe how things evolve over time and where you support your decision-making, or that of your clients.

If you are a real estate professional of any kind or an investor, ArthaBase is the place where you come to understand what you should be caring about and why.

Fundamentally, the tool is built to answer two big questions:

Is this property fairly priced? If so, is the surrounding market attractive enough for me to care?

Why this tool right now?

I built this initially as a private tool because I needed it for my research and for my team down at thebalihomes.com to advise others.

Really, it was just an API that I allowed AI agents to use to build reports and conduct research. Over time, its value became quite evident to me and to our clients, so I decided to build a user interface for those who are not so AI-proficient. Besides, it is super cool to visualize things on a map and in dashboards in a well-structured manner.

Why no chatbot?

AI is cool and all, but I don’t like the idea in general of having AI stuffed everywhere. It is annoying to me.

You can connect any AI agent you already use, one that already knows you, via MCP, or use the API for programmatic access.

That’s not free because infrastructure, as well as maintaining databases and pipelines, has a cost. But I guarantee the upside is far greater than whatever amount you spend.

To get an AI to find you three potentially good investments backed by data, your cost would be around Rp. 100–200k ($5–10 USD). It’s a no-brainer if you are an investor considering making a $100k+ purchase.

New features coming?

There’s a lot in the pipeline at the moment, and some really surprising new features will come over time. I initially didn’t want to add too many layers of complexity, buttons, functions, variables, and behaviors that risk ruining the experience. My focus will always be quality over quantity.

Creating this and getting it here, under your nose, was a “fun” experience. I’m sarcastic. I spat blood for months and worked impossible shifts to get this running smoothly and safely and to deliver every single little behavior and component.

ArthaBase (the app) is far from being finished, and I am aware that it’s not yet there… There’s a lot more to come in the coming months.
